Chrome For Android Updated


Chrome for Android has once again been updated!  The official Google Chrome Blog, announced the update today that they have added 31 new languages and opened the app up to all countries that currently have access to Google Play.

If you are not already aware of Chrome for Android, it is Google attempt to get its ultra-popular browser onto their ultra-popular phone OS.  You can learn more about it here.

Today's updates include:
  • You can now request the desktop version of a website, in case you would rather not view the mobile version.
  • You can now add bookmarks as shortcuts on your home screen, so you can get to your favorite sites faster.
  • Choose your favorite apps to handle links opened in Chrome.
  • Have a proxy setup for Wi-Fi access? You can now use Chrome with the system proxy configured in Android settings.
As Google puts more time into this browser we are starting to see an amazingly desktop type of experience for your phones and tablets.  Chrome for Android is currently only available for Android 4.0 devices.
