If you were planning on pre-ordering the Galaxy Nexus from Sprint, we got some bad news for you. You will now have to wait until 4/22/12 to get another chance to pre-order any more. This is really no surpise, as Sprint customers have been waiting for the Nexus device since it was announced.
There are a couple of factors that could have helped the device sell out so quickly. Firstly, it is launching on Sprint for $199 with a 2 year contract, same price as AT&T's HTC One X. The second bonus is the bonus Google Wallet credits that you earn if you purchase by 5/22/12. Early birds get an astonishing $50 Google Wallet credit if they pre-order by 5/22 and and activate within 7 days.
With two big devices launching on different networks for the $199 price tag, this could be a sign that prices on 4G devices could be coming down. The sellout is a good sign for Android fans everywhere, this is a sign that Android still has SWAG.
