Verizon slashes Galaxy Nexus contract price

Still looking to pick up Google's latest Nexus device? It looks like today is your lucky day, as Verizon lowered the new contract price to $199 from the initial $299 price tag.  The move was likely made to compete with Sprint's decision to offer their Galaxy Nexus at a $199 starting point.

The Galaxy Nexus was first to the market with Ice Cream Sandwich /Android 4.0 and features a 720p Super AMOLED display, 1.2ghz dual core processor, 1GB of Ram, 32 GB of internal storage, and runs on Verizon's 4G LTE network.

If you're in the market for a new Verizon phone, I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up.  I've been enjoying mine for a few months now, and I know a few other Gone Googler's have been as well.
